@edlovehorses A vegetable can be a fruit, a root, a leaf, a flower or any other part of a plant. For instance, lettuce is the leaf of a plant, a potato is the root of a plant. A fruit is the part of the plant that contains the seeds and usually helps nourish them. There is no part of the plant called a “vegetable”. A tortoise is the same way, people call turtles who live on dry land tortoises, but that’s not a Biological definition. I think we’re agreeing though.
